![]() ![]() Vince: The script changed from when I last seen it, and I had no idea I was even going to still be in the movie, let alone be hiding in the Krotchy suit as I attempt to kill Uwe Boll. What are your thoughts on the sets and action, and how did you attempt to balance the all out action while wearing a bulky suit in selling the part? I was in that suit for 2 days, I got real comfortable in it, and most enjoyable was hanging out with the crew, I’m a lot more comfortable with blue collar folks than I am with actors. Vince: It was a real funny experience, first thing from getting picked up at the airport was straight to the costume department, the balls fit fine, but the cock head was too small. GVK: You seemed to fit the costume well, what can you tell the readers about how the design came about and what your thoughts on the look of the suit are as well as your experiences wearing the costume? Vince: Never a feature film like POSTAL, only an NYU film project many years ago. GVK: Aside from your work in the games, have you done any other acting work in the past? Vince: The movie is basically Uwe’s adoption of our game POSTAL, and I play myself and the Postal game character Krotchy. GVK: Tell me about the role you play please. I want to thank Vince for taking the time for the interview as well as all the support and fun moments we had on set. Recently I got the chance to talk with Running With Scissors CEO Vince Desi about playing Krotchky in the upcoming Uwe Boll film Postal as well as his experiences on and off the set. I would expect that anybody who mistook it for any uniform in Nazi Germany is colourblind.Published on June 8th, 2008 | by gareth 0 Vince Desi of Running with Scissors Talks about POSTAL What PewPewDie is wearing is not a uniform, but a costume. It bears about as much historical accuracy as one could expect from somebody who streams video games on YouTube for a living. It is not consistent with any uniform, although bearing the most resemblance to the 1938 British Battledress. The collar and shoulder straps were of a dark bottle-green instead ofĪs anyone can see, what Mr PewDie is wearing is khaki, not blue grey. Theįront was closed with five buttons rather than the previous eight, and (on Reichswehr tunics the lower pockets were internal and angled). ![]() Incorporated four front patch pockets with scalloped flaps and pleats Uniform color of grey-green "field gray" (feldgrau) 1 wool, but The M36 tunic still retained the traditional Imperial and Reichswehr The biggest giveaway that it's not Wermacht or Waffen SS though - is the colour They clearly don't correspond to any German ranks, Wermacht or Waffen SS that I can see here. Service to which the unit belonged: white for infantry, red forĪrtillery, rose-pink for Panzer troops and so on. Underlaid in Waffenfarbe, a color code which identified the branch of Shoulder-straps and, in many cases, collar patches were piped or The colours on the epaulette and collar were just as indicative of what that soldier or officers MOS and rank were as much as the insignia. ![]() Now these could be construed as the SS ranks of Oberfeldwebel (Oberfähnrich OA/ Offiziersanwärter) but as we can see from the colouring on that page - it's completely wrong. However, what's quite telling here is the rank insignia he has put on the epaulettes - two "gold" diamond insignia. It could be a British Service blouse, or an Ike jacket or any number of service coats it could be simply a cheap brown jacket he ordered from China on ebay - it's simply too hard to tell with so little to go on. Similiarly, the jacket could be of any number of types. The Service Dress cap could be attributed to any number of Commonwealth/Dominion militaries at the time. It's hard to tell whether it is just a cheap patch or a pin. However that horse pin/insignia on the front is meaningless, the symbol might be used in some militaries but the pin it self is obviously too plain/cheap to be part of any officer's dress. ![]() So the officers cap is a Service Dress Cap of the British Army style. Probably just something he picked up in a costume or surplus store. ![]()
